Marta Mattioli

Marta Mattioli

Marta Mattioli (b. 1998, Italy) works across digital and physical media, developing a sculptural practice in which virtual processes are translated into metal form. Engaging both traditional fabrication and digital production, her work navigates speculative realities poised between utopian projection and dystopian anticipation. A member of the Kinema Ikon collective and coordinator of Atelier 35 in Bucharest, Mattioli reflects on mediation and its role in shaping contemporary conditions, investigating how technological frameworks influence perception and material experience.

Recent solo exhibitions include “Let Them Play” at Rokolectiv, Bucharest (2025), “The User. Iteration.” at Scanteia+, Bucharest (2025), and “Be The User of My Interface” at Catinca Tabacaru x eastcontemporary, Milan (2024). She has also participated in group exhibitions at Nicodim Gallery, Los Angeles (2026), Octogon Gallery, Iasi (2025), and the Romanian Embassy in Paris (2025).
